Rant #124710

So out of every bus I've rode when in San Francisco, so far two drivers have ever cared about people getting on the back door; one of them being this morning. I understand that on the double length buses where there are a shit load of people, it makes it faster for people to get on any door possible. The normal buses though, there is no fucking reason for people to do this.

Wait in line to get on, if you don't get a seat maybe you should get in the front of the line vs standing around bitching on your cell phone about why the bus isn't there yet. If you're a stinky bum and you don't have the money to ride the bus, then don't get on the bus through the back door. You don't pay taxes, let alone pay your fare, so you shouldn't be able to ride the fucking bus. People who have the money for the bus and get on the back door to not pay, shame on you even more.

My vote is they put a MUNI police officer on the back of high traffic bus routes where people do this and the first person to get on the back door is escorted off the bus, officer waits for the door to close so others can't get on, and is written a nice ticket that takes a good 30 minutes. Until there is a consequence, no matter how many signs they put on the buses to not get on the back door no one will stop doing it.

Dude, you live in SF, the most liberal city on the planet. You actually think they are going to enforce something like this? It wouldnt be politically correct to escort out the people with 'special needs with regard to common sense or courtesy'.
All it would take is for one bum to scream discrimination and it'll be all a futile effort.

Never said there isn't an issue with society as a whole. In fact, that was going to be my next rant. :P

Just be aware that you live in SF. Complaining about society in SF is like bitching about why the KKK wont let any blacks in.

Nor is this related to school buses ;) I always hated bus drills since they were a waste of my time.

lol...well, living in Tampa, thankfully i've only had to use the bus system like 10 times in 5 years. and, i much prefer the yellow buses. city buses definitely arent as much fun going over speed bumps as school buses are :P

Before I read the comments, I was thinking the exact same thing "You live in SF. That rant sounds pretty conservative to me. Notice the difficulties that ensue?

I liked the school bus drills because they always did them before school so at least 10 minutes of 1st period would be lost.
