Dear NBC...

If you don't want me to download your shows via a Torrent, then you should do one of the following:

  1. Upload the episode on your own site within a few hours (I have no problem seeing your ads)
  2. Upload the episode on Hulu.com within a few hours (I have no problem seeing their ads)
  3. Put your shows back on iTunes and upload the episode within a few hours (I have no problem paying for your shows)

When the "right" options are harder (or in this case impossible) you're only encouraging more "wrong" downloading of your content. lame.

They still will make money selling their content to international distributors which in case of Germany will always dub it, but how about gaining an world wide audience? There are more than enough products I buy from international brands, heck I shop more in the US nowadays than I do in Germany. Given the current dollar course helps. ;)

Latest buys? US voucher cards for itunes to be able to shop shows for friends. As you said - we do not mind the ads, nor do we mind them earning money. Basically we are begging for them to monetize us - if only they would listen ...

Dear David,

If you have a problem with how NBC broadcasts its content, feel free to take your eyes elsewhere!

@mart,
Now, it's precisely that view that I'm guessing makes David (and myself as well) completely nuts. There are a limited number of channels on which to watch TV. A couple of them bother to recognize that the internet exists (Comedy Central, at least for the Daily Show and the Colbert Report); most of them do not. So while I might try to watch other things, people are still going to want to see their NBC programming, on their schedule. If NBC doesn't provide that ability, then someone else will. Note that he's completely willing to pay, either in direct $ or through viewing ads, for the content. So NBC is only losing money through their paranoia.

@daveman692,
Hear hear.
