So since moving into my new place I've had no TV, I've physically had one though had no antenna. Due to contracts, AT&T is the only provider of voice, internet, and tv in the building. Finally got internet a week or so ago, it is fiber direct to the apartment, though was pissed at the exclusivity clause in the contract and didn't order tv.

wcu's roommate was telling whitaker and I yesterday about HDTV antennas and that they actually work. So I picked up one from Terk this morning and have tv. It is now balanced atop my tv, where I found optimal reception, and works unless the freezer door is open as it is between the antenna and the window.

Now to do something about a DVR as my ReplayTV doesn't have a HD tuner.

I have said recently how I hate technology?

It is true, the only reason I download TV shows is because my PVR missed recording it for whatever reason. (Not home and two things at once, bad configuration, poor quality record, etc).

Was at Best Buy last night and decided it was time to buy some games since I hadn't in a long time. Downloaded games at school last year, but was tired of playing those. So ended up buying Silent Hunter, Rainbow Six 3 Gold Edition, and Sims 2. Been looking for a good submarine simulator for a while and this one looks pretty decent. Got stuck on one of the tutorials (exams) last night, but should get through them tonight. Also need to catch up on TV on my Replay, looked at it today and there is a bunch of stuff piling up. Guess that is a good thing since it means I'm doing other things than just watching TV. Still, they are shows I want to watch. Real issue is there are shows I want to watch on at the same time. Don't think it is worth buying a second replay, that would be sort of lame, then again building a Myth TV box with multiple tuners in it is expensive and still sounds like it is a pain to get working.
