Christopher Soghoian created the Northwest Airlines Boarding Pass Generator to demonstrate flaws in the government’s implementation of airport security and the so-called no-fly list. FBI agents kept a federal judge awake until two in the morning to get a search warrant and raided his house in a predawn raid Saturday morning.

While I'm unsure if Chris took the smartest route to show this gaping flaw in how airport security is designed, hopefully something good will come of it. As crucially and I were discussing this afternoon, if hand-held scanners checking each ticket are good enough for a Snoop Dogg concert, then why isn't at least the same level of technology used within airports?
